Bovense old school
New life at the old school
In June 2022, we bought Bovense old school with the desire to ensure the preservation of the buildings and create new life at the school. The school consists of a former teacher's residence, the large school building and a gymnasium.
We have since renovated the teacher's accommodation and rented it out.
Right now we are in the process of restoring the gymnasium so that we can make food events and a café.
Last but not least, the association "Bovense old school" has just been founded. The association aims to bring people together around the preservation of the main building and, in the long term, create a meeting place for food communities and learning.
From 1917-1964
The school closed in 1964 and has since been used for e.g. lamp factory. But for the past several decades, the school building has been empty, and it therefore requires a thorough renovation.
The gym
The gymnasium is currently being restored, and we are really looking forward to being able to invite you inside!
In connection with the project, we have received support from LAG-SØM.
